“Gordie Chambers writes songs about love, birds, and trees. There are sunrises, sunsets, and in between, there is a journey. From spring to autumn, from Bon Iver to Pomme, from laughter to tears, from Queen to Weezer, from River’s long hair to Freddie’s mustache. Gordie sings the voice of the wind in the trees and the melody of the waves on the beach.”

Gordie Chambers & The Seagulls is the folk-rock evolution of Gordie Chambers’ solo project. With the addition of bass, drums, keyboard, electric guitar, and horns, the music takes on a new energy — more electric, more expansive, yet still rooted in the poetry and melancholy that define Gordie’s songwriting. This full-band version brings to mind the emotional drive of Pinegrove, the melodic richness of Sufjan Stevens, and the joyful arrangements of Bahamas. On stage, Gordie & The Seagulls deliver warm and vibrant performances that celebrate friendship, doubt, and the beauty of not fitting in.

Their first EP A Normal Life (2025) ironically explores the idea of “normality” — questioning the clichés of adult life, rejecting the well-trodden path, and embracing a messier, more sincere existence. Somewhere between brightness and nostalgia, this is music for those who never quite felt at home in the mold.
